Payment and Postage
The address (recycle your phones address) is on the label on the envelope provided to send your phone(s) in. If you decide to send in your phone yourself then our address will be on the printable information form that you get when you complete your check out process.
When phones arrive they are usally not in full working order or very good condition. When the engineer(s) have looked, checked and tried the phone, an estimate of the phones actual value will be determined. Also your quote is only valid for 14 days so if processes take longer then the quote is subject to change.
There are 3 ways in which you can recieve your payment, which are...
BACS - BACS is a safe electronic financial system. We offer BAC's payments that go directly into your bank account.
Cheque - Payments can be made by cheque, which will be sent to you via the post.
Paypal - Paypal is a system in which payments and money transfers can be made through the internet. This is safe and secure.
BACs (Bank Transfers) and PayPal payments will be made 72 hours after your mobile phone has been tested and confirmed to meet our terms and conditions.
Cheques will be sent via 2nd class Royal Mail post 72 hours after your mobile phone has been tested and confirmed to meet our terms and conditions.
Our pre-paid envelopes will only cover standard 2nd postage, the customer can if they wish arrange his or her own postal insurance. Recycle your phone can not accept any liability for phones lost or stolen in transit, royal mail can advise you of the type of insurance required based on the value of the item being posted.
General Questions
Yes, providing it is on our data base and can be found using our search features. If your used mobile phone is not listed, we will not recycle it.
Water damage is when water (or any liquid, such as coffee etc) gets inside your phone causes damage. This damage is usally permanent and, most of the time, impossible to reverse. It is possible that the phone continues to work after a few days but more problems usally start to appear the more the phone is used. There are indicators on phones (and there batteries) that react to water damage and give an indiction of water damage.
Yes. Our system is constantly updated to reflex the progress of your order/recycled phone(s). You can view the progress of your order at anytime by checking your order on the website.
The model number of the mobile phone is usually found on a barcode label under the battery . Take out your battery and look carefully.
Full working order means the phone is fully functional. i.e. the phone switches on and off, It can make and receive calls, all the buttons on the keypad work, no screen or water damage.
We'll happily accept accessories - but they are not required, we just need the handset with its battery.
Security
Yes. Your bank details are not sent by email but are sent in an encrypted format, safely and securly, so that it is impossible to read them. Your bank details are highly protected in this manner.
