Payment Terms

During testing your phone will also be checked against the Stolen/Blocked Asset registers and any stolen phone will be sent to the police along with the senders name and address.

BACs (Bank Transfers) and PayPal payments will be made 72 hours after your mobile phone has been tested and confirmed to meet our terms and conditions.

Cheque Payments will only be made to the same name and address registered via our checkout system.

Cheques will be sent via 2nd class Royal Mail post.

The price Recycle your phone pays you may change if the returned phones make, model or condition is different to the phone registered for return via checkout.

The price quoted is valid for fourteen days from the date of checkout.

Where possible we will endeavor to process all payments within 3 working days from the day your mobile phone has been tested and confirmed to meet our terms and conditions.

Postage and Customer Commitments

Customers packaging their own phone must make sure that their unique reference number is clearly visible on the front of the parcel, your phone must also arrive within 14 days of the date of checkout

Our pre-paid envelopes will only cover standard 2nd postage, the customer must arrange his or her own postal insurance. Recycle your phone can not accept any liability for phones lost or stolen in transit, royal mail can advise you of the type of insurance required based on the value of the item being posted.

The customer warrants that he or she is the legal owner of the phone, is a resident of the UK and is at least 18 years of age.

The customer must remove his or her SIM card and any memory cards before sending. Recycle your phone can not accept any liability for any loss that may arise from any SIM or memory cards that are received with a phone. Due to the amount of phones we process we cannot return any SIMs or memory cards that have been mistakenly sent to us

Definitions of Full Working Order

All Phones recycled as fully working will be tested by our engineers and must meet the requirments delailed below :

  • The phone must switch on and off.
  • The phone must be able to make a test call.
  • The phone must be free from any water damage.
  • All keypad buttons must work
  • The screen/display must be fully functional with no dead pixels.
  • The phones casing must contain no cracks.
  • Touch-screens should be free from any major scratching and scuffing
  • Any other built in functionality must be working e.g. Camera, Bluetooth

If you are at all in doubt as to whther your phone will meet out requirement we advise you to contact us first before sending us your phone.

Postal loss and damage

Recycle your phone does not take any responsibility for the loss or damage to mobile phones during transit. We recommend that all our customers pack their mobile phones well to minimise the risk of damage.

Our pre-paid envelopes do not guarantee that the mobile phone will be received in the same condition as when it was sent and will only cover standard 2nd postage, we strongly advise that all customers take out additional postal insurance through Royal Mail.

Wrong models

If on inspection of your phone we find that the model you are recycling is not the same as the one selected via our site and processed through checkout we will confirm the correct model by email with a revised offer which may be lower that the price you were expecting.

If we do not hear from you within 4 days we will automatically recycle your phone and process this revised payment.

Damaged mobile phones

If on inspection of your phone our engineers find that it has a fault we will send details of the fault by email with a revised recycle price, depending on the type of fault the revised price could be as low as 10% of the full listed recycle value.

If we do not hear from you within 4 days we will automatically recycle your phone and process this revised payment.

Returns

We are unable to return phones that are sent to us and are accepted at full price or after a customer accepts a revised lower price due to faults or an incorrect model. Mobile phones will be returned to customers only if a lower revised price is offered and rejected within 4 days, All returns carry a £10.00 processing charge to cover handling, postage and packing and needs to be paid in full before a phone is returned.

Return requests must be made via email and the processing charge needs to be paid within 14 days of the request being made otherwise we will take this as you no longer want the phone and we will recycle it accordingly.
